Paolo Fresu, a very talented jazz trumpet player, together with Daniele di Bonaventura on the accordion and Leila Shrivani on the cello, offer us a truly unique evening in the elegant setting of the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium, to celebrate 50 years of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF ). The concert includes the participation of Sonia Bergamasco and Neri Marcorè who are also on stage with readings in order to enrich the show.
The theme of the evening, which concerns humanity, starting from the title of the famous piece by Miles Davis Human Nature, also recalls the Fifty Years of Humanity, that is, the words chosen to summarize the history of Médecins Sans Frontières. The medical-humanitarian organization, founded in Paris in 1971, has since intervened internationally in all major emergencies, providing relief to populations threatened by armed conflicts, violence, epidemics and natural disasters. Today, over 65,000 humanitarian workers are committed to bringing medical care and aid to more than 80 countries.
The proceeds from the show are donated to Médecins Sans Frontières.
