“That boy plays better than any of us jurors!”, said Arthur Rubinstein, among the jurors of the prestigious Chopin Competition in Warsaw; he was talking about a very young Maurizio Pollini, one of the greatest pianists ever. A legend and a virtuoso with a vast repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary pino music. From Bach to Mozart, to Chopin and Beethoven, and from the moderns, including Schoenberg, to contemporaries pianists and composers such as Berio and Nono.
His intense concert career both in Italy and abroad has led him to collaborate with conductors of the caliber of von Karajan, Böhm, Abbado and Mehta.
