Eurospin RomaOstia Half Marathon 2025

A race 50 years long.

It is the important milestone reached this year by the Eurospin RomaOstia Half Marathon, the eagerly awaited half marathon that takes national and international professional runners and fans from Rome directly to the sea.

The very fast route is the same as in recent years, with runners starting from the Palazzo dello Sport in EUR district and, after crossing the district's wide, flowing boulevards for a short distance, reaching the Cristoforo Colombo road that will take them to the finish line at the roundabout in Ostia. A route of 21.0975 kilometres that has always reflected the technical characteristics of the half marathon.

Casa RomaOstia 2025 - The Village, located in Piazzale Pier Luigi Nervi, will open its doors from Thursday 27 February to Saturday 1 March with a photographic exhibition dedicated to the 50 years of history of the race and stands with news related to sport and the world of running. Not to be missed, the appointment with the elite athletes' parade on Saturday pre-race. The Gemelli staff will be present in the Village to offer registered participants free screening on the 7 main risk factors (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, BMI, diet, exercise and smoking).

The RomaOstia Half Marathon was born on 31 March 1974 as the Italian inter-marathon championship and with a distance to run of no less than 28 kilometres. In addition to being one of the longest-running races in Italy, it is now also among the most popular.

Included in the IAAF International and FIDAL National Calendar, today the race is the only competition in Italy that can boast the prestigious ‘Gold Label’ of World Athletics.

The 50th edition of the RomaOstia Half Marathon is promoted and organised by the Gruppo Sportivo Bancari Romani - GSBR, under the aegis of World Athletics and FIDAL, with the patronage of Roma Capitale and the Regione Lazio, and is included in the World Athletics International and FIDAL National Calendar.
