Trame di Luce

A unique experience that dresses Christmas in a new light thanks to contemporary artistic languages that rethink the most exciting tradition of the year: Trame di Luce, the immersive light art sensorial exhibition that this year has many new features, returns to the Botanical Garden of Rome.

An international edition to marvel at art, music and nature in the historic garden on the slopes of the Janiculum Hill, which at dusk turns into an enchanted open-air museum.

The new itinerary, conceived for a heterogeneous public of all ages, is enlivened by evocative installations and new, interactive, low environmental impact light art works, created by national and international artists, Italian universities and with the participation of an Italian Nobel Prize winning professor.

The novelty of this edition is the story, freely accessible to all through the QR codes distributed along the route, which offers hints on how to understand, approach and interact with each work.

The Multisensory Path

The map of the luminous wonders of Trame di Luce is organised in 22 stages, including installations and works of light art, some of which are new and created specifically for Rome. The creations lead from the first moment into a dreamlike dimension suspended between dream and reality, with the entrance into the outdoor spaces of Palazzo Corsini, home of the prestigious Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei.

Once again this year at Trame di Luce, music is part of the experiential journey, with a unique thematic wave that explodes with intensity in each installation, enhanced one by one by different melodies. The soundtrack, created specifically for the event, is an enthralling alternation of notes designed to make recognisable the typical sounds of Christmas inspired by the classic soundtracks of Hollywodiana memory.

The ‘’Villaggio delle luci‘’ (Village of Lights) is the food & beverage area that celebrates taste through ten gastronomic choices for all ages and with a Christmas theme, proposed by as many food trucks, to refresh oneself comfortably seated both outdoors and indoors, in the event of bad weather.
