The dancers and choreographers Simone Repele and Sasha Riva present their show Dear Son at the Auditorium Parco della Musica as part of the Romaeuropa Festival. Already on the stage of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the artistic duo brings this show, whose central nucleus is a story of memory and hope, capable of transcending the barriers of time and space, it is in fact the portrait of a family shocked by the loss of a son who left for war, for which all the projects of the past, the aspirations towards a hypothetical future crash against a motionless and painful present.
The show is therefore an invitation to reflect on universal themes, such as the fragility of life in a society marked by the durability of wars and conflicts, which still tear apart many countries in the world.
Sasha Riva and Simone Repele met for the first time at the Hamburg Ballet school and then found themselves dancing together at the Geneva Ballet school. Over the years they formed a strong bond, which led them to collaborate and create the new artistic reality Riva&Repele. The artistic duo soon established themselves on the international scene with a style capable of combining a theatrical approach and a neoclassical vocabulary with a highly contemporary language and aesthetic, characterized by the centrality of gesture and movement.
