Educational tourism

Thanks to its immense artistic heritage, students of all levels have the opportunity to know and deepen what they have learned by studying the Roman civilization, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Baroque, the Risorgimento period and Contemporary Art.

HOW TO GET
By bus, train or plane, getting to the capital is pretty easy.
Arriving at Ciampino and Fiumicino airports, at Roma Termini station, Roma Tiburtina or with a private bus, there are frequent and numerous connections to the city center.
For schools wishing to reach Rome by bus, please note that the new Tourist Bus Plan has come into force, which can be viewed on romamobilita.it.

WHAT TO VISIT
There are many kind of visits, from the unmissable Colosseum to the Capitoline Museums, the oldest public museums in the world, from the impressive Trajan's Markets - Museum of the Imperial Forum, to the sumptuous Galleria Borghese, up to the Ara Pacis Museum, an extraordinary architectural project by Richard Meier and the splendid Vatican Museums, just to name a few.
Combining learning with curiosity and dynamism is simple when visiting the numerous museums and cultural spaces offering children permanent exhibitions, activities and guided tours, including the Museum of Civilizations, which contains a large archaeological and ethnographic collection, the Bioparco, zoological garden in Villa Borghese, Technotown, dedicated to new technologies and the Civic Museum of Zoology, a center of scientific culture that preserves, studies and shows animal biodiversity.

GREEN AREAS
Rome is also the “greenest” city in Europe, where a walk in the parks and historic villas turns into an educational-artistic path, among fountains, sculptures, hunting lodges, as in the Italian gardens of the magnificent Villa Borghese, a concentration of landscape and artistic richness, or in the English style of the charming Villa Torlonia, home to the delightful Casina delle Civette, or in Villa Pamphili, the largest park in Rome.

MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCES
The visit to the historical-artistic places can be further enriched by different experiences that aim to involve and amaze the students, leaving a magnificent and indelible memory that will accompany them throughout the training period.
Multimedia shows such as Journey into the Forums, accurate reconstruction of places, with special effects, Welcome to Rome, a tale about 2700 years of Rome's history, the Ara as it was, multisensorial visit to the Ara Pacis, Last Judgment, a show where art and technology tell the birth of the Sistine Chapel, and Caracalla Progetto 3D, a reconstruction with virtual reality of the Roman Baths in 216 AD.

ADVENTURE AND THEME PARKS
The capital also offers numerous facilities dedicated to entertainment, with educational ideas, including the Luneur Park, a historic carnival that carries out activities for children on nutritional education, eco-sustainability, socialization and integration; Cinecittà World, where students have the opportunity to approach the world of cinema, TV, science and history in a dynamic and original way; Rainbow Magicland, which offers playful-educational activities from childhood to high school, or Zoomarine, whose cornerstones are environmental education, scientific dissemination and research.

OUTDOOR TRIPS
Outside the city, do not miss the monumental Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica, an ancient Roman city, or Tivoli, a splendid town with a medieval historic center, home to Villa d’Este, Villa Adriana (UNESCO sites) and Villa Gregoriana.
