Pasqua nei Musei 2024

The traditional appointment with Pasqua nei Musei (Easter in the Museums) is back. The event celebrates the Easter holidays with many surprises, extraordinary openings, art, visits, itineraries, workshops, entertainment and educational activities and is promoted by Roma Capitale, Assessorato alla Cultura - Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali with the organisation of Zètema Progetto Cultura.

Here is a selection of the scheduled events:

On 28 March, two visits will be dedicated to current exhibitions:

  • at the Civic Museum of Zoology (also on the 30th), where you can immerse yourself in the eclectic dream of the great scientist and naturalist Ulisse Aldrovandi;
  • at the Capitoline Museums, to take a closer look at the work of the great sculpture master of antiquity, Phidias.

A third visit takes you to the Circus Maximus to learn about games and daily life in ancient Rome.

Friday 29 March:

  • at the Museo di Casal de' Pazzi, you go in search of hidden eggs in the Pleistocene Garden;
  • at the Janiculum Hill, another treasure hunt invites you to discover the people who defended Rome in 1849;
  • at the Civic Museum of Zoology you can experience the five senses for an unusual rediscovery of materials, bird and insect cries, smells and perfumes;
  • at the Gallery of Modern Art, come and discover the current exhibitions;
  • a rereading and reinterpretation of ancient spaces is the focus of the visit to the Trajan Markets.

Saturday 30 March:

  • at the Centrale Montemartini visit Architetture inabitabili, the current exhibition that makes you the protagonist of a fascinating photographic account of some uninhabitable architecture in Italy;
  • art, architecture and botany blend to perfection in the Casina delle Civette at Villa Torlonia;
  • for the little ones, ecosystems and biodiversity are revealed in a very interesting journey through the rich natural heritage of the Civic Museum of Zoology;
  • at the Capitoline Museums an activity is dedicated to families to learn together about the museum and the mythical foundation of the city of Rome, with a final workshop activity.

Sunday 31 March, appointment

Monday 1 April:

  • you can spend it in the company of water giants and fantastic animals for a visit to the Parco degli Acquedotti in a typical Roman countryside setting;
  • in Villa Borghese, you can go in search of real and fantastic animals, real and stone animals;
  • at the Ara Pacis Museum, notebook and pencil in hand, you can draw the hidden and little-known naturalistic details of the famous Altar of Peace;
  • at the Capitoline Museums, a guided tour of the works in the Palazzo dei Conservatori, the Palazzo Nuovo and the Galleria Lapidaria awaits you.
