All about Banksy: Exhibition 2

Flower Thrower, Screenprint, 2003, Private Collection

A new exhibition in the Renaissance spaces of the Chiostro del Bramante dedicated to the most famous incognito artist in the world: about 250 works from private collections but also an important documentary section including photographs, reports and videos to discover all about Banksy and retrace his career from the beginning of the 2000s to today.

Thanks to the collaboration with Butterfly & David Chaumet - Butterfly Art News, who have opened their archive for the first time, the exhibition presents itself as a sort of “catalog raisonné” not to be browsed but to visit, with thematic sections on the works that have become icons and on the fundamental themes of the artist: the first Black Books, the many rats, politics, religion, power, war, children’s rights, migratory phenomena, refugees, the surveillance society, the environment, ecology, the art market.

The exhibition itinerary is completed by three videos to relive the most significant moments of Banksy’s art life, including an exclusive and unpublished documentary that tells the story of his twenty years long career.
