Original, vital and exciting in its diversity: European cinema is at the center of the initiative scheduled until 4 April at the Casa del Cinema, organized in collaboration with the cultural institutions of France, Germany and Spain – Ambassade de France - Institut Saint Louis, Goethe Institut and Cervantes Institute. A different film (in original version with Italian subtitles) will be proposed to the public for twelve weeks every Monday, with the aim of showing an idea of Europe that goes beyond the current geopolitical borders, highlighting the pleasure and enjoyment of cinema as an exercise of intelligence.
The 12 selected titles are emblematic of the tradition and modernity of three great European cinemas. On the screen, great masters such as Claude Sautet, Luis Garcia Berlanga, André Téchiné, but also contemporary talents such as Bertrand Bonello, David Macián, Burhan Qurbani: different stories, cultures and passions in the sign of a cinema of values that has no borders and that has its roots and its most beautiful representation in Europe.
