The Classical Orchestra of the Testaccio Popular School of Music, conducted by maestro Massimo Munari, presents The various souls of the orchestra between baroque and contemporary, a series of concerts including pieces by the most different authors on a journey from the 18th to the 1900s through the colors and expressions of the classical orchestra.
The program includes music by Giuseppe Verdi, Jean-Joseph Mouret, Johann Gottlieb Naumann, Pietro Mascagni, Paul Hindemith and Franz Schubert.
The Testaccio Popular School of Music, founded in 1975 by Bruno Tommaso and a large group of musicians such as Martin Joseph, Tony Ackerman, Maurizio Giammarco, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Eugenio Colombo, Michele Iannaccone, Danilo Terenzi and many others, was born with the goal of "making music for everyone", in which everyone can learn to play an instrument, know different musical languages, or play together with others. Seminars, conferences, concert reviews and research trips are offered every year. Furthermore, since 1985, a music library recognized by the Municipality of Rome has been active within the school.
