The Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma, directed by Daniela Porro, has activated processes for the inclusion of cultural heritage through initiatives to raise awareness and adapt the methods of access to cultural venues. In the wake of the macro-project aimed at accessibility, a cycle of themed events at the Drugstore Museum is scheduled for the entire month of December, with the direct involvement of social workers and the territorial realities of the Municipio XI-Arvalia and other municipalities.
The event entitled Speciale per tutti (Special for Everyone) continues a path undertaken in 2021 by Alessio De Cristofaro, head of the Necropoli Portuense-Drugstore Museum circuit, to build, together with the people directly involved, a more inclusive and accessible museum experience. A museological reflection that, in line with the constitutional mandate, rethinks places of culture as spaces for the promotion and development of the person and his rights.
The aim is to promote an inclusive approach in heritage management, to encourage the use of art workshops as a tool for self-knowledge and personal skills, to acquire more knowledge in the field of arts and crafts and to share learning experiences. The project aims to increase the concept of accessibility by enhancing design, training and involvement in order to develop a strategic, representative and inclusive pathway for all.
The meetings are realised with the participation of many territorial realities such as H anno zero, Comunità di Sant'Egidio, Creatività diffusa Aps, La lampada dei desideri, Nuova Socialità cooperativa sociale onlus, Parkinson Giovanile Roma PGR onlus, Grandi Laboratori riuniti and the psychiatric residential facility and RSA Villa Giuseppina.
